An important French Engineering School, Supélec is a benchmark in the field of information and energy sciences. It constitutes a privileged pathway leading to all economic sectors.
On an international level, Supélec can be compared to the most prestigious'Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Departments of the major European and American Universities. The quality of the engineers who earn their diplomas here each year is recognised world-wide. The main part of recruitment is made through a competitive examination which is held following the completion of the 'Classes Préparatoires', along with recruitment through academic qualifications, of French or foreign students.
Engineer training constitutes the main mission of the School. It lasts three years, after two to four years of post-baccalaureate training. The School also proposes several post-graduate and doctoral training programs.

The proposed Master’s Research Degree training lasts two years, after three or four years of post-baccalaureate training. This training lies within the scope of the European post secondary framework, and respects the "Bachelor’s Degree-Master’s Degree-Doctors Degree" (BMD) structure common to European countries. This training leads to the delivery of the DNM "Diplôme National de Master Recherche" (National Master’s Research Degree).
Supelec offers a Master’s Research Degree in "Sciences and Technologies", specializing in "Information, Energy and Systems" or in "Nuclear Energy", that consists of Specialties in collaboration with a Partner University.
Each of Specialties in partnership with a University has the same title as that of the Master’s Specialty at the Partner University.
