An important French Engineering School, Supélec is a benchmark in the field of information and energy sciences. It constitutes a privileged pathway leading to all economic sectors.
On an international level, Supélec can be compared to the most prestigious'Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Departments of the major European and American Universities. The quality of the engineers who earn their diplomas here each year is recognised world-wide. The main part of recruitment is made through a competitive examination which is held following the completion of the 'Classes Préparatoires', along with recruitment through academic qualifications, of French or foreign students.
Engineer training constitutes the main mission of the School. It lasts three years, after two to four years of post-baccalaureate training. The School also proposes several post-graduate and doctoral training programs.

Within the framework of bilateral agreements existing between Supélec and certain foreign universities, foreign students may complete one or two years of study at the school depending on whether or not they wish to obtain the Supélec Engineering Degree.
In the first case, they must complete their first and second academic year, or second and third academic year, at Supélec (also in particular cases first and third academic year). They then receive a double degree awarded by both institutions simultaneously at the end of their course of study.
In the second case, they may complete their third year at the school and receive the Supélec Specialization Degree, awarded under the same conditions as above.
Students admitted on the basis of an exchange scheme are enrolled at Supélec but remain members of their institution of origin. Candidates must submit their application to the person responsible for their university ’s international relations, who contact after the International Affairs of Supelec.
